Arizona Diamondbacks closer Archie Bradley won his salary arbitration case Friday and will earn $4.1 million in 2020, ESPN reported.
Bradley's case brings to a close the arbitration process for 2020. The Phillies avoided arbitration with closer Hector Neris earlier Friday and agreed on a $4.6 million deal for the upcoming season.
Of the 12 salary arbitration cases that were heard around baseball, teams won seven of them, with five players granted the salary they requested. When the process started, teams won the first four cases.
Bradley recorded 18 saves in 21 chances last season, taking over the closer role from Greg Holland who had 17 saved in 22 chances with a 4.54 ERA.
Bradley, 27, was 4-5 with a 3.52 ERA in 66 appearances. Bradley is 21-25 in 239 appearances (35 starts) over five seasons with the Diamondbacks.
Neris, 30, was 3-6 in 2019 with a 2.93 ERA and had 28 saves in 34 chances. He is 15-20 in 307 appearances, all in relief, over six seasons with the Phillies.
