Zach Hyman had two goals and an assist for the Edmonton Oilers in a 5-4 win against the visiting Dallas Stars on Saturday night.
Connor McDavid had a goal and an assist, Viktor Arvidsson and Connor Brown also scored and Stuart Skinner made 23 saves for Edmonton, which has won three of four following a season-long five-game losing streak.
Mikko Rantanen had a goal and an assist in his first game with the Stars, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
Wyatt Johnston, Jamie Benn and Matt Dumba also scored and Jake Oettinger made 22 saves for Dallas in the opener of a four-game road trip.
Johnston scored a rebound while the Stars were on a power play to give Dallas a 1-0 lead at 5:48 of the first period.
The Oilers answered with three straight goals in the opening period.
McDavid drove to the net and attempted to slide the puck into the net from the short side. The puck slid along the goal line and Hyman got his stick blade on it first, pushing it across to tie it 1-1 at 6:12.
Hyman scored again on a breakaway at 12:26 to move Edmonton ahead 2-1.
Arvidsson made it 3-1 at 17:42 when he ripped a one-timer into the net from the left face-off dot.
McDavid used his speed to weave around Dallas defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin and score at 5:20 of the second period to extend the lead to 4-1.
Brown stole the puck from Lyubushkin at the red line and his pass went off sliding Dallas defenseman Thomas Harley and into his own net to make it 5-1 at 17:40.
Rantanen, who was traded to the Stars from the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, scored on a one-timer while on a power play to make it 5-2, and Benn scored 11 seconds later to cut it to 5-3.
Dumba scored his first goal of the season on a one-timer from above the right circle that went off Edmonton defenseman Ty Emberson and into his own net to cut it to 5-4 at 9:18.
Dallas forward Roope Hintz left after he was hit in the face with a deflected puck midway through the second period and he did not return.
