The Minnesota Twins placed right-handers Travis Adams and David Festa on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
The team also selected the contract of right-hander Cody Laweryson and designated catcher Alex Jackson for release or assignment to make room on the 40-man roster.
Adams, 26, has a right triceps strain and Festa, also 26, has a right shoulder impingement. Their IL designations are both retroactive to Sunday.
Adams made his major league debut last season with Minnesota and was 1-4 with a 7.49 ERA in 18 games (two starts). Festa was 3-4 with a 5.40 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) last season, his second campaign with the Twins.
Both were drafted by Minnesota in 2021, Adams in the sixth round out of Cal State Sacramento and Festa in the 13th out of Seton Hall.
Laweryson, 27, made his MLB debut last season with the Twins and was 0-1 with a 1.17 ERA in five appearances out of the bullpen.
Jackson, 30, is a career .153 hitter with 11 homers and 32 RBIs in 160 games with five teams. The Seattle Mariners drafted him with the No. 6 overall pick in 2014.
