U&R Civil Engineers Participate in Viva CalleSJ 2021

San Jose, CA On September 19, 2021 Underwood and Rosenblum (U&R) volunteered to "Adopt an Intersection" in the Viva CalleSJ "Open Streets" community event. U&R was stationed at the intersection of 10th Street and E. Santa Clara Street, helping to manage event traffic and maintain pedestrian safety throughout the Viva CalleSJ event.

U&R transformed the intersection with a Selfie Station, music, giveaways, and a giant balloon arch over Santa Clara Street. The firm also led a community engagement activity to help gain individual feedback on the impact and benefit of programs such as Viva CalleSJ.

Thousands participated in Sunday's Viva CalleSJ event promoting community and outdoor fun, and experiencing San Jose in a new way.
