Kyle Connor tallied two goals and an assist and Mark Scheifele picked up a trio of assists as the Winnipeg Jets bested the Dallas Stars 4-1 on home ice on Friday.
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 24 of 25 shots he faced, while Dylan Samberg and Morgan Barron also scored for the Jets.
Mason Marchment scored the Stars' lone goal and Jake Oettinger made 18 saves in the loss.
Connor struck with just under three minutes left in the opening frame, as Scheifele won a puck battle in the corner and sent a pass out to the open sniper, who wired his one-timed shot past Jake Oettinger.
The Jets' leading point-getter then tallied his second with 13:17 remaining in the middle frame after some pretty passing.
Samberg opened the scoring for the Jets with 11:59 left in the first as Scheifele delayed along the boards before finding an open Samberg, and the big defenseman made no mistake with his wrist shot.
Winnipeg controlled the pace of play early on, with Brandon Tanev owning their best scoring opportunity.
The physical forward got the home crowd into it as he broke loose from the Dallas defenders less than three minutes in, but fired his backhand shot wide of the cage.
Scheifele had Winnipeg's next-best opportunity to score with 5:50 left in the first, when he received a pass from Connor and took it to his backhand, but the Jets' top goal scorer was denied by the left post.
Connor scored his first of two goals mere minutes later.
Connor continued his hot play as he fed a pass across to Josh Morrissey, who gave it right back to him, before the superstar tallied his 35th marker of the season with just over 13 minutes left in the second period.
Scheifele picked up his third assist of the game on the 3-0 goal.
The Stars were awarded their only power play of the contest as Sam Steel was cross-checked by Colin Miller with 4:15 remaining in the second.
Dallas failed to record a shot on net during the man advantage.
Barron tipped Dylan Demelo's point shot past Oettinger with 12:34 left in the game to extend the lead to 4-0.
Marchment broke the shutout with 3:49 remaining.
