The Minnesota Twins placed third baseman Royce Lewis and three others on the injured list prior to Thursday's Opening Day game at St. Louis.
Lewis (left hamstring strain) and shortstop Brooks Lee (lumbar strain) landed on the 10-day IL and right-handers Brock Stewart (left hamstring strain) and Michael Tonkin (right shoulder strain) went on the 15-day IL. All four moves were retroactive to Monday.
The Twins also selected the contract of Randy Dobnak and returned fellow right-hander Eiberson Castellano, a Rule 5 selection, to the Philadelphia Phillies.
With those moves, Minnesota's 26-man season-opening roster is set with 13 pitchers and 13 position players.
