On the heels of the NFL draft, the Bills added a free agent wide receiver. Buffalo signed free agent WR Elijah Moore to a one-year contract Monday.
Bills GMBrandon Beane confirmed on One Bills Livethat Moore and his wife made a free agent visit to One Bills Drive, and things progressed quickly. Moore posted a tweet last Wednesday indicating he had reached agreement on a contract with Buffalo.
Moore and the Bills made things official Monday.
The Ole Miss product is a former second-round pick of the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL draft. After two seasons with the Jets, he was traded to the Cleveland Browns at Moore's request along with a third-round pick, in exchange for a second-round pick.
Moore despite playing in an offense that has had a revolving door situation at quarterback in Cleveland, posted a single-season career high 61 receptions for 538 yards and a touchdown.
The most important thing Moore brings to Buffalo's receiving corps is speed. Blessed with 4.35 speed, the 5-10, 180-pound receiver is a consistent separator and offers yards after catch ability. He also just turned 25-years old in March.
Moore's addition gives Buffalo 10 receivers on the roster, not counting the anticipated undrafted rookie additions when contracts are signed. Moore will wear No. 18.
