Malik Nabers lands on PFF's top 25 under 25 list
Wide receiver Malik Nabers put together a historic rookie campaign last year.
His dominant first season has led to plenty of praise from members of the media.
The latest to applaud the young receiver's start to his NFL career isPro Football Focus' Jonathon Macri, who put Nabers at No. 15 on PFF's list of the top 25 players under the age of 25.
"Nabers is the closest rookie receiving threat to Brock Bowers coming out of 2024, and depending on which metric you want to favor, there's a reasonable argument he could be ahead of him on this list," wrote Macri. "In a stacked 2024 rookie wide receiver class, Nabers was the best of the bunch, leading the group in PFF receiving grade (87.1) and targets (165) both top-10 marks for the position.
"Nabers was also the only rookie wide receiver to crack the top 10 in PFF WAR in 2024, ranking as the Giants' most valuable player in that regard by a significant margin."
The 21-year-old wideout set a new franchise record with 109 receptions in his first season with the Giants, falling just three catches behind Bowers for the new all-time rookie record.
In addition to setting the franchise single-season record, Nabers also topped Puka Nacua's mark for the most catches by a rookie receiver, which the Rams' wideout set in 2023 with 106. This led to the Giants' rookie ranking fifth overall and third among wide receivers in receptions.
Nabers registered 14 games with five or more catches, another rookie record, which helped him finish with 1,204 receiving yards, which ranked seventh in the league.
As if all of that wasn't enough, he also led all rookie receivers in targets (165), yards after contact (256), first downs (55) and missed tackles forced (19), according to PFF.
