Safety Kam Curl will remain with the Los Angeles Rams, agreeing to a three-year, $36 million deal, NFL Network reported Friday.
The contract has a maximum value of $39 million with incentives.
This is the second piece of big news for the Los Angeles secondary this week.
On Wednesday, ESPN reported that the Rams are acquiring All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs in a blockbuster trade that includes the 29th overall pick of the 2026 NFL Draft. The Chiefs reportedly also would receive the Rams' fifth- and sixth-round selections in that draft as well as a third-round pick in 2027.
Curl was a seventh-round draft pick by Washington and didn't take long to move into a starter's role. He spent the first four seasons of his career there before signing a two-year, $9 million free-agent deal with the Rams before the 2024 season.
He earned his big payday with the Rams after 33 games (all starts) in which he made 201 tackles, intercepted two passes and defended 14 others. He has three sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and a touchdown.
Overall, he has appeared in 93 games (86 starts) and has 586 tackles, eight sacks, five interceptions, 28 passes defended, four forced fumbles and three recoveries.
