The Carolina Panthers are signing running back AJ Dillon to a one-year deal, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Wednesday.
Dillon, 27, spent last season with the Philadelphia Eagles after sitting out the 2024 campaign with a neck injury.
He replaces Rico Dowdle, who signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and joins a Carolina depth chart led by Chuba Hubbard and Jonathan Brooks.
Dillon appeared in only seven games for the Eagles, carrying 12 times for 60 yards and catching three passes for 21 yards.
A second-round pick by Green Bay in 2020, Dillon rushed for 2,428 yards and 16 touchdowns in 60 games with the Packers from 2020-23. He added 86 receptions for 763 yards and two scores.
