The New Orleans Saints and veteran quarterback Zach Wilson agreed to a one-year deal on Tuesday, according to multiple media reports.
Wilson, 26, provides additional experience at the quarterback position for the Saints, who will be going into Tyler Shough's 10th career start to start the 2026 season.
The second overall selection by the New York Jets in the 2021 NFL Draft, Wilson has appeared in 38 games (33 starts) over his career with the Jets (2021-23) and Miami Dolphins (2025). Last year in Miami, he completed 6 of 11 passes for 32 yards in limited action.
For his career, Wilson has completed 57% of his passes for 6,325 yards with 23 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
His 38 appearances are more than current Saints quarterbacks Shough (11) and Spencer Rattler (16) combined.
Shough, though inexperienced, impressed as a rookie last fall. The second-round pick went 5-4 as a starter, throwing for 2,384 yards and 10 touchdowns against six interceptions after taking over for Rattler as the Saints' starter in Week 9.
