Atlanta scored the first seven points of the second quarter to take a 36-30 lead, but Boston went back in front 42-41 on a Derrick White 3-pointer with 6:04 left in the half. The score was 54-54 at halftime.
Atlanta had the first double-digit lead of the game after a Jonathan Kuminga basket put the Hawks up 79-68 with 4:27 remaining in the third quarter. The Hawks outscored the Celtics 36-22 in the period and had a 90-76 advantage entering the final quarter.
The Hawks had their largest lead, 101-80, following a Zaccharie Risacher 3-pointer with 8:29 to play. Boston responded with a 15-2 run to pull within eight on a 3-pointer by Brown with 2:13 remaining, but Atlanta led by at least eight the rest of the way.
